Why are common things like logo, menu and footer info stored on the individual pages instead of the master?

Hello, I just bought this template and it is really nice. Congrats! There is just one small detail that I hope you can help me with. On the index page, the text “Welcome to Molaneo….” is not aligned with the site. You can see that it stays centered on the browser, while everything else is o the left.
Can you help me with it? I know it must sound really silly, and it must be really simple, but this is my first Muse website so…

What happens if I need an extra page or e-commerce in business catalyst? Does it just add another page using code from say another standard page? I’m used to WordPress but keen to use Catalyst and your template fits what I need so well. But I’m new to all this….
