UpVote is the perfect if you want to create site like Reddit, Hacker News, Growth Hackers and other similar sites using WordPress. UpVote theme is powered by a custom-build plugin that will enable registered users to submit url (in UpVote we called it story) and the theme can automatically fetch the post title, featured image and description from the link, as long as the url support Open Graph. Hello! I’m having an issue when using the View Story With Toolbar function as follows:
When I click on a story from the home page it takes me to the comments and post page. Then, I click on the title and it successfully takes me to the link embedded with the Toolbar function. The issue arrises when I try to click on the comments to return to the comments and post page. The toolbar displays 2 comments (which is true) but upon clicking the icon/ numeral it loads webite.com/preivew rather then the website.com/preview/?linkid=123 which is how the link from the home page to the comments and posts page functions.
It seems as if my toolbar isn’t fetching or modifying the url to take the user to the correct page, instead, the toolbar changes titles to reflect that of the username logged in and the page turns into a loading bubble that doesn’t go away.
If you can help me get the comment button to function so it takes you back from the toolbar to the comment page, that would be excellent.
