Hello and thank you for your interest.
Starter theme works fine with the latest WP versions so an update was not necessary.
No sticky sidebar in not available and it is not in the plan to add this feature. This theme is aimed on performance and usability without javascripts.

This theme is great as far as speed goes. However, it has seen one update since 2017. Maybe this is why the sales are not doing so good
May I suggest an idea for your update checklist?
In the category description section when you add links or even Italic or Bold the text, it does not show the settings in the live site. I guess the site ignores the settings. I was gonna buy this, but I saw that it has not been updated since 2017, that is a big update gap. Also, I did not see a sticky sidebar option in the demo. I think if your focus is to build a blog theme, then sticky sidebar is very important for Ads. or important information to keep visible while scrolling down.
Shame its not being updated anymore!
