I can't give it a perfect rating because it was a big hassle to get it to look like it does in the ads, but the customer support people who helped me fix it up were much more patient with me than I was with them. I still say the demo look should be the default as soon as you install and activate it, but maybe it's not that simple. Anyway, it looks nice, now, so I guess it was worth the effort.

A very good and fine tool. It's not a "simple Template". Is a tool with dozens an dozens of features in itself, and the support is amazing!

Even I prefer backend theme options instead of WP Customizer, it took only a very short time to fal in love wiith the well organized, well coded and extremly customizable options. This template presents many problems. the code gets corrupted. Technical support is extremely bad. The support people are unkind. In mobiles it does not adapt and if you activate AMP the images do not load correctly. I do not recommend spending money on this.

Easy to use and has some really cool features like the built in temperature bar. I do wish the top banner ad area didn't have to be a single image ad, if we could use a short code there to rotate through ads that would have been ideal. We ended up having to put our real top banner ads directly into the header, but otherwise can't say I have any complains about the website.

I've purchased the top 10 'magazine themes' and must admit that PenNews is the one I preferred the most. Its easy to use and has a lot of flexibility and options in the back end.

I bought several WP themes since I was at ENVATO but PenciDesign TEAM is the best of all time. Even for demanding customers like me. PenciDesign TEAM I wish you every success in your sales, but especially in the vision that leads your passions for a job well done. All the BEST.

Unfortunately, we cannot reply there or edit our initial review.The reply to our review resumed the tendency to push blame elsewhere and basically accused our developer of not knowing what he was doing. However, further investigation by our developer revealed an issue in the code of both the theme and the tool it was conflicting with. Both sides were saying it wasn't them, when in fact they were both shown that they had issues.If Penci has listened in the first place instead of pushing us off and telling us we needed to hire someone to fix it, then this would have been resolved far more quickly and amicably. However, once they were shown that there was indeed a problem and their code was inhibiting proper operations, they were quick to fix it and will be rolling it out in an update. The developer of the other tool also recognized the issue and is rolling out an update with a fix.You guys should apologize for the poor response to the previous review and thank our developer for helping you improve your product. We are grateful that you did finally listen though, and now things are working smoothly.We look forward to continuing to grow our site with this wonderful theme as well as a growing relationship with the Penci team. My reasons for jumping on this new theme:1. The native dual sidebars ! How many Right AND Left sidebars high-end themes do you know ? Then each page can be set independently, one or two sidebars or none. I feel like this feature is not enough highlighted.2. The native 1400px width & full-screen easy scalability. The width is fully customizable by the user but I really appreciate how the default 1400px with two sidebars is conceived. Most of today magazine themes look awkward with 1000-1100px width on 1920px Full HD displays. Also, often going full-width means stretching everything too much on recent wide screens. Native 1400px in my opinion is the sweet spot. What’s more, this layout scales down very well - unperceptively - for narrower screens up to ~1200px (under 1200 it will not show a sidebar) while at the same time looking great on 1920px Full HD screens.3. After digging further: the team behind and its impeccable record. The team already created one of the most successful themes on the market. The brand new PenNews seems to me rather a synthesis of years of experience, kind of version 10.0 labeled as 1.0After testing it: VERY powerful out of the box, due to the integrated plugins. Documentation is great and the support helpful.I was waiting for it, dreaming about it. A magazine theme not following the same 10-years-old and obsolete format that everyone else seems obsessed by. This fresh start is more than welcome and I cannot wait for the improvements to come!

I bought this theme feeling this highly optimized, but it is not. Performance is very poor! I like the features, but site will be too slow after using this theme. Really, unhappy with the theme. Customer support is average, some people are highly skilled, most of them are not.

First of all, we have been with PenciDesign for a little over a year now. We first had their Soledad theme then switched to PenNews when it came out. With that being said, you cannot get any better than their customer support. It is truly superb. They are very reliable and respond back to you quickly; before you know it the issue is fixed. Shopping for a theme is tough and can be stressful - I know it was for us. One of the most important things about shopping for a theme is their support. Along with support, of course, is theme customizability, search engine friendly, mobile friendly, compatibility with other plugins, and the quality design of the theme. They have all of that. If you want a theme that you can trust, get this theme. Again, we have been with them for over a year now. Nice, but very, very, very slow script, even after optimization. Shut down all that can be but would still slowly. Especially when you show a picture (30-100k) in the Penci Banner Box. Try to run from your mobile phone http://pennews.pencidesign.com / and count how fast it works. The menu in the mobile version selects all at once, but not what you need...etc.

Great theme with near endless amounts of customization and even better support. For those wondering, you can come over from one theme to this one without having to rebuild your website from scratch (I came over from the Flex Mag theme after poor scaling). The only thing to look out for with this theme is old plugins from a previous theme causing compatibility problems. Even if you do have some form of problem with this theme, the developers are very quick in their response times and helpful on their forms and have helped me solve all of my problems.

In the beginning I had some troubles with the theme. WPBakery didn't work. I send support an e-mail and literally in a couple of minutes I got a reply. I was really surprised because most of the time support does not reply.It took some days and support was really trying to fix the problem. It didn't worked out because there was a problem at my hostingprovider.I am still figuring out the theme but now I can start building my site. Shame I can't give 6 stars for the support! Took a little while to get things set up because there's so many options but once you get familiar with the theme, you realise it has a lot of flexibility & options.Really loving the theme - Super Work!... support was also excellent :)
