I’m trying to edit the home page with elementor and it is not letting me - i get an error stating the content area was not found in your homepage, please advise

How do I control what shows up on the homepage? If I just want one category to show up how would I do that? Is it possible to add two sections with featuring posts from one category each? Do you have any other documentation besides what is included in the theme? like faqs or a forum?

Original post: On Events page, the keyword search does only work in combination with the date search. But for our project it makes only sense, if user can search EITHER by date OR by keyword (searching all dates) Your reply: This is how the free Events Calendar search bar works. If you want more capability, you have to upgrade and I think it is called “Filter bar” module. My reply: About issue 1) We checked it in detail and found out that we not only have to buy the Events Calender PRO Plug-in for $89/year, but also the Filter Bar module for additional $89/year. This makes it $178/year, but that is out of budget for us. The only thing we need, is that we can search the events by keyword. We think that is an important feature. Have you made preparations to implement the map on the single events pages? According to https://support.theeventscalendar.com/362858-Setting-Up-Your-Google-Maps-API-Key this should be possible also with free version of the event plug-in. But I didn’t find anything about this in the documentation. And also in your demo theme I can’t find a single example of a map that uses the address data from the events.

Hi, I just installed your theme after viewing the live-preview. There you show options of 2 columns or 3 columns. How can I replicate those? Also, can I remove the huge hero-image on the home? thanks so much, Tanja

Hi, I have your theme from envato elements and not really sure how the support is working then since it’s a different kind of license or at least a bit different. Anyway. I’m planning to use your theme on my blog but have a bit of a problem. I don’t need events there. When I turn off the plugin, the home page is blank so there is evidently some strong connection. Could you point me in the right direction to resolve this and well.. pointing out in the same time is there a simple way of customizing home page or is it just possible with fiddling with code? Thank you for help and well.. awesome theme. I have checked countless number of them for my use and your’s is checking the boxes in 90% of requirements.

Hi, great theme, I downloaded it about 1 year ago, but just installed it yesterday . Something is disturbing everytime I scroll. Something like it’s suddenly stop scrolling or just a very short scroll when I scroll, and its not happen on other theme. Am I missing any update or something need to be fixed on my mac?

You can use a standard page. Just create a page, instead of a post. Here is an example: https://darinka.design/insider/about/ You can have all kinds of columns or elements with the Blocks that WordPress is providing. If you’re going to be using the Events post type: In the admin panel, go to Appearance > Customize > Custom CSS. Put this there: .events-single .social-bar, .events-single .entry-author { display: none; }

What we’re missing, is the availability of different “standard content” page designs. In our case, we plan to have event information / location information / guest information / organisation details and all that kind of stuff as pages with just text and image. Herefore we don’t have many options on how to display this. So what we plan to use is the event single post. In this case… How can we remove those elements? http://prntscr.com/ncppz9

Hi Darinka, I’ve translated many themes in the past and am very familiar with how to do it. However, following the usual method (and/or the instructions you gave to translate and where to put translation, even if I’m surprised that you did not include the theme name in front of the locale?). It’s not working. Even installed loco translate, it’s failing to show no matter which folder I put it. Could you help with that ? I’m thinking maybe i’m not naming files correctly but at this point I tried for both .po and .mo in my languages/themes/ folder : fr_CA.po dk_insider-fr_CA.po dk-insider-fr_CA.po dkinsider-fr_CA.po insider-fr_CA.po with no luck :/ Thank you in advance!
