when accessing the site the portfolio images are being loaded superimposed, that is, one above the other. It looks like some javascript error, how to solve this bug?

Hi. How can I get the ”Next” and “Previous” buttons on the portfolio to work. I’ve set up several pages such as portfolio1.html and portfolio2.html etc but wherever I put the code it breaks the button.
There’s nothing in the guide document and the support system has been offline for a while so can you please just show me how to add the URL here -
